Fixtures
The summer is slowly coming to an end and that means it's coming close to the start of the Schoolboy season once again. Pre-season has started for everybody and all teams will be more than ready for the start of the new season.
Meanwhile the Senior Women's side are still in action in their season. They had a great run in the National Junior Cup before going out in the 1/4 Final to Tombrack United of Wexford.
With one league game left, they trail leaders Bandon by a point so they must get a win at Rathcoole Rovers next Wednesday to keep in with a chance.
On Monday next they have a home tie against Millstreet Celtic in the semi-final of the Kevin Barry Cup. A win and it's back to Turner's Cross in the hope of retaining their title.
Coaches Wanted
Riverstown F.C. are looking for parents to join up as coaches. As we all know the greater Glanmire - Riverstown area has had a huge population increase over the last 10 years or so and this has led to a huge number of children wanting to play soccer. In previous years we may have had 20 kids in each of the age goups ages 7 to 10, this number has increased to as many as 40 and more in some age groups, yet the amount of coaches are as little as 2 or 3 as in previous years. We are now looking to increase the number of coaches we have and will organise special F.A.I. coaching sessions to introduce you to coaching children. If you are interested please contact Noel on the Riverstown phone at 086-0772157.

Riverstown Soccer Club
Riverstown F.C. was formed in 1994 to facilitate and promote the development of Soccer in the Riverstown/Glanmire area, a growing suburb of Cork City.
That objective continues to be the underlying focus in all the activities that the Club undertakes. We are fortunate in the time, enthusiasm and commitment that the adult members of the Club gladly give to the youth of the parish.
